Is my budget realistic for a 360?

I have decided that I would like to purchase a 360 and am actively looking for one. As far as specification goes I am after a 360 Modena in Red with a manual gearbox (ideally with 40k or less miles. My budget is up to £65k. Do you think this is an appropriate budget or am I most likely going to have to look for an F1? I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I think it’s probably realistic these days for a 360. Obviously you want a manual (which holds a premium) red (which holds a premium) car but going into the winter is the time to look as prices tend to deflate fractionally compared to the spring and summer. Best of luck with the search

I think prices for 360s have softened over this last couple of years and you should be able to find a nice car for your budget. Don't get caught up on manual vs F1 though. Concentrate on condition and history as that trumps the gear selection choice by a considerable margin.

There was (is?) a member here selling a manual red Modena a little while back. I assume he still has it and was looking for £60-£65k. Scan downwards through the for sale section of the forum and you'll find it, along with my beautiful red F1 Modena that sold earlier this year :)

While prices of other models have bounced up and down wildly over the years, 360's have stayed very constant.

In 2003 I bought a 1999 car for £80k

In 2007 I bought one for £58k

I nearly bought one in 2014 for £55k (bought a 430 for £62k as there was only a slight premium).

Still similar today. All the above were manuals but if buying today I would probably buy F1 and have CS gearbox software.

Still not an investment of course as you will spend a fair bit on maintenance.

Thank you very much that is very useful to know, hopefully more come on the market as the market goes quieter in the winter.

Thank you, I have been thinking about this further and think the F1 gearbox may be worth a go and if the right one comes for sale it sure is one that I will consider. Shame I missed out on yours looked like a really good one and local to me! Are you planning to purchase another Ferrari?

That's interesting to see I hadn't realised the market for the 360 was this consistent. Will see how things pan out in the coming months. I am actively looking at the moment still. This will sure be a dream for me to fulfill.

Having driven all variants extensively I do think you should try the F1. It's easy for a specialist to install Challenge Stradale ECU software and that completely transforms the car.

Hi, yes, we bought a California. This fell into your budget too (just) and it's a very nice car. I felt the 360 was a little wasted here in the congestion of the south east and the Cali is a bit more suitable for our usage. I adored our Modena though, so pretty :)

Congratulations on the new acquisition :) I had contacted Malc as his one certainly would've fitted the bill however he has decided to keep hold of his 360 which I completely understand.

I think it is, there's been some 30k mile ones in ferrari dealers for £65k with warranty etc.

That would be idea if something such as this were to pop up!

Had a look at the one in Carrs this morning; long sold and given the price and condition, I’m not surprised.

Was just going through its checks and looked really good.

Not that long, I missed it by a day I was told. Did look like a nice one. Only 6 months warranty. shame they don't offer 1 or 2 years like you get with Porsche.

We had a chat about a week or so ago Giuseppe. We never talked money but you know my 40k miles manual 360 you could have had for less than £65k. For £65k I would want a 20-25k car I think.

Should be fine - you could get a manual Spider for that and they are always worth more than the Modena

Thanks Malc, was really nice to talk to a current owner. Hope you're enjoying your 360 still :) I have resumed my search once again and fingers crossed something comes up.

Thanks, I certainly hope that's the case, I am sure something will come up sooner or later just have to wait for the right car to come along :)
