Bringing back some wine - Beaujolais

Jules

New member
Thought I'd try to instill some fun here.....

Anyway, my little Beaujolais jaunt went without any form of problem last week starting off at Brands by Nigel Mansell, then onto Taittanger in Reims, then onto Macon & back to Reims & then home.

Car ran like a dream. There were two sets of teams - Navigate the shortest distance from Reims to Macon through a number of towns with either maps only or Sat Navs. It was about a 50/50 split.

We went for the Sat Nav challenge and out of 13 teams the Stradale came in a very respectable 4th. When you consider that most of the other teams were crossing vineyards, dirt tracks, brooks etc etc, we were most pleased:dude: There was an option on the Sat Nav 'unpaved roads' which I chose not to 'tick' - we might have won, but would probably have lost the sump, wheels, venturi etc etc.

Some hightlights...

Another session on track at Dijon, this time driven by my friend who's raced many times. He had the car sideways and I was pissing myself whilst trying to film:laugh:

Spent some time talking to John Surtees about what Enzo had said to him whilst driving for Ferrari - great guy.

A great bunch of people with an eclectic mix of cars

Spending all afternoon having lunch in Reims on Thursday....you get the picture

Driving around the Indy circuit at Brands on ice:laugh:

So thanks again to CS for sponsoring this years event - all for a good cause. I didn't take any pics, but here's a couple I managed to grab

I see the "cow" mini regularly - it's parked outside the Peter Vardy dealership up here in Edinburgh as a promotional tool.
